Sarah Welsh is a graduate student in the department of Rhetoric and Writing at the University of Texas, Austin, where she’s writing a dissertation on digital forgetting and internet ethics. She is also an Assistant Director in the Digital Writing and Research Lab where she helps manage programming, the annual Digital Field Methods Institute, and day-to-day operations. She earned an MA from the Graduate Center, CUNY in New York City, where she studied with Matthew K. Gold and wrote a thesis on computer history and aesthetics. Sarah has worked as a technical writer, journalist, and marketing manager.
